This relatively new technology employs the best methods for reproducing low and high tones (amplitude-modulated, AM) with the best methods for reproducing mid tones (frequency-modulated, FM) to create one streamlined process that produces an overall superior quality print image.
In contrast to other hybrid methods, Prinect Hybrid Screening uses sophisticated dot distribution at the relevant angle to enhance detail, eliminate moiré and deliver smooth results for difficult skin tones. This system defines the smallest dot for highlight areas and the smallest dot for shadows and does not allow the dot size to fall below these values, producing a smooth transition between tonal values whether reproducing colour or black and white.
Benefits include:
-
Photorealistic quality
-
Flexibility on press
-
Smoothness in gradients and vector elements
-
Defined minimal raster dot sizes
-
Greater stability on press and plate
-
Optimized screen angles for skin tones and black and white elements
-
Makes very fine details visible
